December Newsletter
Dear Members,
Here we are, at the dawn of the Holiday season, when Thanksgiving leftovers are but a memory and front yards start twinkling in red and green. This month will be short and artistic at the Alliance. Short because the last part of December is traditionally spent celebrating and hibernating, in no particular order, with family and friends. Artistic because we have 2 fun art events coming up: L'Oeil Ouvert with docent Diane Beckman on Tuesday 7th, a virtual tour of the most beautiful paintings of the NCMA collection, and our very first Paint 'n Sip event at Wine & Design in Durham on Saturday 1th, an opportunity to unleash the Cézanne in you with the help of artist and AF member Britain Barker.
We'll close the year with an in-person Holiday Celebration on Sunday 19th, in North Raleigh. We look forward to seeing you there - yes, actually seeing you for real - if you can make it.

Paint 'n Sip
Saturday 11 December, 2-4pm
Paint your very own "still life with apples" after Cézanne's artwork at Wine & Design in Durham. If you think you can't paint, then see the event as a "can't paint" class and let Britain Barker take you through the process step by step. The Alliance will provide snacks and drinks for a full "French experience." This is an in-person event with real people and real paint.
Bilingual. $37/person, all material provided for 2 hours of painting.
