February Newsletter
Short but sweet, the month of February manages to juggle a wild mix of emotions, from sugary Valentine's Day to the ever-puzzling Groundhog Day, all while shining a spotlight on the significant Black History Month.
For those with a French flair, this month is also the time to unleash your inner crepe connoisseur! Join us at the Skema Business School as we dive into the delicious world of La Chandeleur, aka Crepe Day, on Sunday, February 25th. These mouthwatering, sun-shaped delights not only represent the triumph over winter blues but also serve as a promise of longer days ahead. Get ready to flip, savor, and celebrate – because nothing says sophistication like conquering gloom with a crepe in hand!
Also not to be missed this month:
- A guided tour of NCMA Dutch and Flemish collections with the one and only Docent Diane Beckman on Saturday, February 17th.
- The French Film Festival at the Rubenstein Arts Center in Durham continues until February 10th. All screenings and Q&A sessions are free and open to the public.
Last but not least, the conversation group Apéro National is back every Wednesday night at 8pm. Calling all high intermediate to advanced French speakers - your golden ticket to chat and laugh with fellow members from coast to coast!
