July is the month of fireworks, with the 4th of July and Bastille Day both lighting up the sky with bursts of red, white, and blue. At the Alliance, we'll celebrate in style with a Dinner in White, or "Dîner en Blanc," at l'Ecole/French School of Raleigh on July 6. The Dinner in White is the epitome of summer elegance and spontaneity; attendees dress in white and bring their own meals, china, and decorations, transforming the schoolyard into a sea of chic picnics under the stars. It is not just about eating; it's about turning an ordinary night into a glamorous experience.

July brings another exciting event: we're rolling out brand new pétanque courts at the French Cultural Center, on July 6, 9:30am. Bring your A-game and a side of competitive spirit for a morning of French-style fun! And when you need a breather, pop into Le Café for some laid-back French conversation. It's all about mingling and enjoying the finer things in life - like scoring a perfect boule throw or mastering a tricky turn of phrase en français!

Speaking of games, mark your calendars for the Olympics opening in Paris on July 26th. A ceremony not to be missed!
