As we navigate the fallen leaves like a poetic dance floor, November invites us to pirouette around the blessings and spill gratitude like confetti on the stage of life.

While Thanksgiving may dominate the calendar this month, there is another holiday which our French community would like to invite you to: Beaujolais Nouveau Day. Traditionally, the celebration fêtes the fruity red wine made in the Beaujolais region. More importantly, however, it's an opportunity to get together and kick off the holiday season, whether you're a wine drinker or not! Here in Raleigh, we'll celebrate the event at The SKEMA Business School on November 16.

Another highlight this month is our first Café du Monde. The concept is simple: we get together for casual (online) conversation with members of another Alliance Française in the world. On November 12 at 12pm, we will get together with members of AF Lviv, the only Alliance still operating in Ukraine today. A way to show our support to Ukrainians, learn more about their daily lives and the beautiful city of Lviv.

Last but not least, on November 30th, docent Diane Beckman will take us on a guided tour of the special exhibition "Dutch Art in a Global Age, Masterpieces from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston" at the North Carolina Museum of Arts. This special event features paintings by phenomenal masters such as Rembrandt, Frans Hals, Gerrit Dou and Jacob van Ruisdael. An event not to be missed!

So little time, so much to do, as per the famous tune. We hope to see many of you attending our events this month.

Because, let's face it, life is too short to take fallen leaves too seriously.
