Many thanks to all of you who came to the inauguration of the French Cultural Center last night - photos will be posted shortly. The celebration also marked the grand opening of our library, available to all AF members. The library will open every Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Come check out some books, see the current exhibition of drawings by Joseph Le Dieu, or just drop by for some French conversation. If you can spare a couple of hours of your time each month and would like to join our team of library volunteers, please email us: frenchallianceraleigh@gmail.com
The highlight of this month is an online presentation by Hélène Crié-Wiesner about French BD - or comics - on October 27. Hélène will take us on a journey through this relatively new artistic language and how it is extending its influence to other arts and fields in French society today. She will also explain what makes French comics very different from American comics.
