September Newsletter
Dear Members,
As the sweltering summer heat gradually starts to loosen its grip, September emerges as a breath of fresh air, carrying the promise that relief is on the horizon. It is also a reminder that summer's wild escapades are over, and that it's time to trade in beach towels for a more refined pursuit: a rendez-vous with docent Diane Beckman for part 2 of Women as Influencers on September 9th, at 1pm.
This month brings forth another event that ignites the cultural landscape with vibrancy and anticipation: the inauguration of the French Cultural Center in Raleigh, which now hosts your Alliance Française! Hold onto your berets and join us for the Alliance's General Assembly and the re-opening of the French Library on September 30th, 3 to 6pm. You'll be able to witness the Center's very first exhibition: A stroll in 19th Century Normandy by Joseph le Dieu. You will also enjoy a musical performance that fuses traditional French chansons with gypsy jazz, a blend of old-world elegance and modern flair, with The Onyx Boys Club and singer Sophie Dal-Pra. See you there!
