May Newsletter
May is a time of celebration, with Mother's Day and Memorial Day bringing us closer to our loved ones and reminding us of the sacrifices that have been made on our behalf. It also brings the excitement of "May the Fourth be with you" and the absurdity of National Lumpy Rug Day.
At the Alliance, May is the month of our yearly Haiku Contest. The contest is open to everyone, regardless of your level of French, whether you are a student, a member or an aspiring member. Why a haiku? - might you ask. Because every French learner, even beginners with limited vocabulary, can write an inspired haiku, and win! Prizes include free memberships and free tuitions for the winners or the people of their choices.
Note that our in-person events Pétanque and Walk in French switch to the summer time this month: 10:30am instead of 11:30am.
We look forward to seeing you there, or at any of our upcoming events
