March Newsletter
If you live in North Carolina and were hoping for an early spring this year, you are getting your wish. In opposition to what the groundhog predicted, trees are starting to bloom out of nowhere and the pointy noses of bulb sprouts are pushing up in full confidence of warm days ahead. We may wonder: who is right, the daffodil or the groundhog? Then we realize they both are, on alternating days.
At the Alliance, we'll celebrate spring with music this month. On March 5th, we'll unite our voices for a sing-along of French songs. Michèle Darrah, former President of our chapter, will help us stay in tune with her guitar - or so we hope.
On March 25th, we'll kick it up a few notches with a piano recital at the Bösendorfer Hall in North Raleigh. Fellow member and piano virtuoso Rowena Mariano will play works by French composers such as Rameau, Debussy, Chopin and Ravel. Space is limited, so make sure you book your seat early.
We look forward to seeing you there, and/or at any of our upcoming events
