We offer 3 types of French Classes


Core Classes


Core Classes are interactive courses structured according to internationally recognized language competency levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2.
 
Each level is further divided into sequential sub-courses. For example, a student beginning at A1.1 in winter would typically progress to A1.2 in spring, followed by A1.3 in summer, and so forth.

Core Classes meet ONLINE for 2h/week for a total of 20 hours per course.

Some classes meet once a week for 2 hours, some meet twice a week for 1 hour.

Tuition fees: $400

Specialty Classes


Conversation Classes

  • B1 and B2/C1: 90 minutes weekly, total 15 hours - online and in-person
  • A1/A2: 1 hour weekly, total 10 hours - online

Lire & Parler (Read & Speak) – Online class using level-appropriate fiction to practice speaking French (15 hours).

French For Travelers - Online beginner (A1) class focused on practical travel communication. 10 hours.

Everyday French – Online A2 class focused on daily situations. 10 hours, textbook required.

Tuition fees: $285 for 15 hours (Levels A2+,B1, B2) 
Tuition fees: $190 for 10 hours (Levels A1, A2) 

Workshops


Workshops are thematic classes.  Most are held online, some are in-person.  
In-person workshops are 4-hour long and called Immersion Classes.

Themes range from art and grammar reviews to specific aspects of the French language and everyday life. 

Online workshops are enrolled in 2 to 8-week programs for a total of 4 to 8 hours.  
Immersion classes are 4-hour classes held on a weekend day.

A1 - Beginner

A Parisian Art Adventure A1/A2

In Person Immersion Class
In this 4-hour immersive workshop conducted in French, we explore some of Paris’s most iconic art museums through interactive games, quizzes and collaborative challenges. Designed for beginners and elementary French learners, this lively class will help you expand your vocabulary related to art, history, and culture while practicing your speaking and listening skills in a fun, engaging environment.  Levels A1/A2.  Hot lunch included.

This online introductory class is intended for students with no prior experience in French. It is the first of five courses at the A1 beginner level. After completing this course, students will progress to A1.2.

This online class is the second of five consecutive courses at the A1 beginner level. After completing this course, students will progress to A1.3.

Conversation 6P

In Person Conversation Class
This in-person conversation class is designed for students who are conversational in French. The class uses prompts and media from a variety of authentic sources.

Pace: Once a week, 1 1/2 hour over 10 weeks

France Before Kings

Online Workshop

Explore 6,000 years of history, from the first Neolithic farming communities to the end of Antiquity. Through monuments, artifacts, architecture, and archaeological discoveries, this course uncovers the artistic and cultural traditions that shaped present-day France and its neighboring regions.  We will examine megalithic sites, Gaulish sculpture, Gallo-Roman decoration, and major architectural projects to reveal the beliefs, exchanges, and societies that existed long before the emergence of kings - back when Stonehenge was cutting-edge technology.  Levels B1/B2/C1

The Birth of Medieval Art in Europe

Online Workshop
Explore the origins of medieval art in Western Europe, from the rise of the first dynasties to around the year 1000.  Through architecture, jewelry, illuminated manuscripts, and religious art, this course examines how Roman traditions, Germanic cultures, and Christianity shaped the visual world of medieval Europe.  From the Merovingians and Charlemagne’s Carolingian Renaissance to the Ottonian Empire, discover how artistic ideas traveled across a Europe of shifting borders and evolving identities. Levels B1/B2/C1
