Bonjour 2026
As the new year kicks off, we’re delighted to keep sharing life’s simplest pleasures with you: the French language, its culture, and plenty of good food, good films, and even better company. Think of this as the one resolution you’re meant to keep - or at least cleverly get around.
A Sweet Start: King’s Cake Contest (Jan. 18)
Nothing says “bonne résolution” like a slice (or three) of galette paired with a friendly competition. Bake your own masterpiece, or come to
taste, vote, and practice the all-important art of judging. Warning: serious cake-sniffing skills may be required.

- Make Your Dream to Live in France Come True: Adrian Leeds shares insider secrets to turning that French daydream into a French apartment key (Jan 10)
- The Art of Jacques Pépin: A tribute to a lifetime of culinary genius and proof that wisdom, and flavor, only get better with age, like a fine Burgundy (Jan 22)
Our Ciné-Club is back on January 24 with the heartwarming classic Les Intouchables.
And for our Wilmington friends, the CFCC
12th Film Festival is
serving up five French films, including two animated gems for your kids (and your inner child). All movies are in French with English
subtitles, so you can feel cultured without sweating the grammar.
And because practicing French shouldn’t be confined to textbooks and verb charts, we invite you to join our many clubs: Café, Pétanque, Conversation du Mardi, Walk in French, Café-Chanson, and Club de Lecture, where conversation flows freely, accents are celebrated, and mistakes are simply part of the fun.
Bring your appetite for culture, your curiosity, and maybe a beret (optional, but highly encouraged for dramatic flair). We’re looking forward to sharing a lively, flavorful, and unmistakably French start to the new year with you!
