We offer 3 types of French Classes


Core Classes


Core Classes are interactive classes based on language competency levels.

Core Classes meet for 2h/week for a total of 20 hours per course.
Some classes meet once a week for 2 hours, some meet twice a week for 1 hour.

Tuition fees: $360 
Early Bird: $324
Textbook: $70, incl. shipping - hard copy & digital, also includes a workbook


Conversation Classes


Conversation Classes for levels B1 and B2/C1 meet for 90 minutes per week over 10 weeks, for a total of 15 hours.  For level A1 and A2, classes meet for 1 hour per week over 10 weeks, for a total of 10 hours. Some Conversation Classes are held online, some are held in-person in Raleigh.

Lire & Parler (Read & Speak) is an online conversation class that uses level appropriate fiction material to practice speaking French. 

Tuition fees: $255 (Levels B1, B2)

Workshops


Workshops are short, online thematic classes as well as in-person immersion classes.

Themes range from literature, art, history and music, to specific aspects of the French language and everyday life. 

Online workshops are enrolled in 2 to 8-week programs for a total of 4 to 8 hours.  
Immersion classes are 3 to 4-hour classes held on a weekend day.

A1 - Beginner

Online Core Class
This online introductory class is intended for students with no prior experience in French. It is the first of five courses at the A1 beginner level. After completing this course, students will progress to A1.2.

This online class is designed for students with very limited vocabulary and grammar. The class focuses on practicing basic oral skills.

Online Workshop
Ready to go beyond textbooks and speak like the French really do? This interactive workshop is designed to immerse learners in the real-life language of everyday French speakers, with a special focus on common expressions, slang (argot), and new, evolving phrases popularized by contemporary TV shows, movies, and social media.  The class is held in French, for levels A2, B1 and B2.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Essential Idiomatic Expressions
    Learn the everyday phrases that native speakers use constantly
  •  French Slang Demystified
    Dive into the world of verlan (wordplay slang), street talk, and informal speech
  •  Language from Pop Culture
    Decode expressions from popular French series (Lupin, Dix Pour Cent), films, and social media influencers.
  •  Context & Nuance
    Understand when, how, and with whom to use casual or informal French without sounding awkward or out of place.
