French Language Tests

We offer two types of French tests:

1. Level Test - $25
   A comprehensive evaluation of all core language skills designed for levels B1 and up.
   This test is ideal for advanced French speakers who want an understanding of their overall French proficiency.   It may also be used by TEF candidates to confirm that their French level meets the requirements before registering for the TEF certification.  
2. Placement Test - FREE
   Required for enrolling in our French classes from post-beginner levels upward.
   If you are starting French from scratch, you do not need to take a placement test. You can enroll directly in our first level classes - code A1.1.
   

1- Level Test - $25

A 30-40 minute, in-depth assessment of listening and reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and oral expression.

How does it work?

1. Click the link below.
   
2. Fill out the form and submit the $25 fee.
   
3. You’ll receive your access code and test link by email within 24 hours - your code is valid for 6 months
4. Go to https://af.elao.online/en and complete the test.
   The test comprises 5 modules, each module takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete. You may stop after completing a module and resume the test later.  A working microphone is required for the oral expression test.
5. You'll receive your results by email after completing all modules.
