streets, restaurants, and cultural landmarks, making it the main hub for exploring the city’s urban life.

Lugdunum Museum; Lyon in Roman times
The main Roman ruins in Lyon are clustered on Fourvière hill, where the ancient city of Lugdunum was founded. The most impressive are the Roman theaters, remains of Roman roads, baths, and fragments of public buildings, all connected to the Lugdunum Museum.. Together, these sites show how important Lyon was as a major Roman capital in Gaul.

that celebrates Lyon’s rich, hearty culinary heritage. Bouchons are known for a warm, unpretentious atmosphere, and a convivial,

Housed in a former 17th-century abbey, Lyon Musée des Beaux-Arts offers a rich but
manageable overview of European art from antiquity to the 20th century. In a short visit, you can explore highlights like ancient
Egyptian artifacts, Renaissance paintings, and works by masters such as Rembrandt and Monet, as well as the peaceful inner courtyard
garden, filled with sculptures.
