Dust off your apron (or at least your cutting board) and join us for Fourchettes Sans Frontière (Forks Without Borders), a potluck-style food festival where we travel the world without jet lag, baggage fees, or lost passports.
Participants bring a dish inspired by a region anywhere on Earth, plus the recipe and a tiny backstory. Then we mingle (preferably in French) and pretend we’re very cultured while going back for seconds.
This is not a cooking competition. Just a delicious excuse to explore the planet one bite at a time.
Bilingual, free and open to all
How It Works
- Pick a region or country you love, visited, or randomly Googled at midnight.
- Bring a homemade or assembled dish, drink, bread, salad, or dessert inspired by that place.
- Bring the recipe and a short note about it - all on 1 page.
- Portions are for tasting, not feeding a small army - think “samples,” not “Thanksgiving.”
You do not need to be a chef. If your relationship with your oven is mostly decorative, you’re still welcome. Easy, low-stress contributions include: drinks, dips, breads, assembled plates and no-bake desserts.
If you don’t have a regional specialty, adopt a region. Travel by imagination. No vaccines required.
Recipes Are the Real Souvenir
Everyone brings:
- Dish name & region
- Ingredients / recipe
- 2-3 sentences about the dish - or why you picked it
We may collect them into a mini Forks Without Borders Recipe Book, so your culinary world tour can continue at home in sweatpants.
