Join fellow member Frachele Scott for a a thought-provoking exploration of Black art, memory, and heritage in
the French cultural landscape. Through key exhibitions like “Paris
Noir” and
performances like “African
Rhapsody”, she’ll
take us on a journey through Parisian events, examining how Blackness, memory, and cultural hybridity are represented, and often reimagined,
within French art institutions.
Frachele Scott is a licensed attorney, public historian, and cultural commentator examining the intersections of Black
identity, memory, and belonging across generations and geographies.
She is the creator of Passport + Purpose, a reflective travel series examining how intentional journeys shape personal and collective
legacy. Her upcoming talk on Black art and identity in Paris draws from her series Diaspora Dialogues: Paris, and highlights
recent exhibitions at Palais de Tokyo and Centre Pompidou.
