Through monuments, artifacts, architecture, and archaeological discoveries, this course uncovers the artistic and cultural traditions that shaped present-day France and its neighboring regions.  We will examine megalithic sites, Gaulish sculpture, Gallo-Roman decoration, and major architectural projects to reveal the beliefs, exchanges, and societies that existed long before the emergence of kings - back when Stonehenge was cutting-edge technology.  Levels B1/B2/C1
