What are Paris arrondissements? Arrondissements are administrative districts - and the City of Paris contains 20 of them within its borders, organized in a spiral pattern. Those with lower numbers form the center of the city and contain most of the top historic attractions. Those with higher numbers, once separate villages outside the city limits, were annexed by Paris in the 1800s and still retain much of their original charm and character.
In this class, you'll learn about each district's unique history, identity, special events, and popular attractions.
