FAQ

What kind of texts can students read?
Excerpts of any fiction book, play or poem in French.

Should all my students read the same excerpt?
No, the choice of books and excerpts is entirely up to you and your students.

How do I select 5 students per class?
It's entirely up to you.  The 5 students may be selected based on their chances to win the contest, their grades in French, or any other criteria of your choice.  Important: Teachers don't have to tell students that they'll select only 5.

What's in the gift baskets that winners receive?
Gift baskets will be customized based on each student's  age.  For category 1 & 2: stationary items and activity books.  For the older ones: gift cards and French comic books.

What's a French immersion session like?
It's a 1-hour session hosted by the Alliance.  The content will be discussed with teachers so that it reflects what students have been working on in class.  Winning classes in each category will be offered a few dates to choose from.
