General Classes
General classes are traditional, interactive French classes, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

We offer 4 General Class programs per year:
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
How do I sign up for a General Class?
1- If you have some experience with French, please take our free Placement Test first ----->
Based on your test results, we will determine what class best suits your level and get back to you within 48 hours to discuss your best options. If you have never taken French before, your level is A1.0, True Beginner - no need to take the Placement Test.
2- Once you know your level, scroll down to check what options of day & time are available for you. Please note your Class Code; you'll need it when you sign up.
3- Click on the red Class Registration and Membership tabs to the right to sign up. You will be able to pay for the class, textbook and membership online using Paypal or a credit/debit card. Alternatively, you can mail your registration form and check.
Please note: current membership is required from all students.
New students will need to pay for class, membership and textbook.
Tuition
General Classes are enrolled and priced in 10-week programs for a total of 20 hours - 2 hours per week.
Note: some classes meet once a week for 2 hours, some meet twice a week for 1 hour.
Tuition fees: $360
Sign up before March 20th and get 10% Early Bird discount!
Early Bird tuition fees: $324
Textbook: $55 - for new students and students starting a new level
You will need about 60 hours to complete the A1 level, 80 additional hours to complete the A2 level, and additional 190 hours to complete each of the B1, B2, and C levels.

Les grands romanciers du XX siècle - Code Literature
Course 2: Colette
Wednesdays 12-1pm - March 10, 17, 24, 31.
Tuition fees: $80/ 4 sessions of 1 hour each. Level B1 minimum
From her birth in 1873 in Burgundy until she died in 1954 in the heart of Paris, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette lived many lives. Celebrated writer of around 80 works, journalist and reviewer; music-hall star, Colette is perhaps best known for living precisely as she pleased!

African Music - Code Music
Wednesdays 5-6pm - Feb 17, 24 and March 3,10.
Tuition fees: $80/ 4 sessions of 1 hour each. Level A2 minimum
Can you recognize a balafon from a djembe? Do you differentiate between salsa, rumba and makossa? Lily Smith, singer ... of opera, but a great traveler in Africa will teach you everything about African hits, from Independence cha-cha to Youssou Ndour's Mbalax, including Angélique Kidjo, Toure Kunda or Magic System! A class that will inevitably make you want to dance!

French Pronunciation - Code Language
Monday & Tuesday 6-7pm - March 22, 23 & April 5, 6.
Tuition fees: $80/ 4 sessions of 1 hour each. All levels, Beginners included.
Pronunciation is a vital aspect of learning any language, but this is especially true for French pronunciation as mistakes often cause confusion on both ends. In this class, you’ll learn how to tackle the most common pronunciation challenges and improve your French hearing and production skills overall.

Great French Sculptors - Code Arts
Thursdays 10:30-11;30am - April 8 , 15, 22, 29.
Tuition fees: $80/ 4 sessions of 1 hour each. Level A2 minimum
Across art history, France has produced many significant sculptors. In this course, we'll look at 4 famous sculptors of the 19th century: Jean-Antoine Houdon, Antoine Bourdelle, Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel.
